The Cued Flashies, along with the Beginning Flashies, are the first set of flashcards used in the ILR Learning Progression.
Use this set of cards as the foundational flashcards to teach the ILR Vowel Sounds.
One side of the Flashies shows a letter with the corresponding differentiation of colour and number; supported by a visual mouth cue on how to form the sound.
The reverse side shows the number which corresponds to the vowel sound.
It is important to use these Flashies as a part of the ILR daily drills to consolidate the link between the vowel sounds and corresponding vowel sound number.
